Why was Mary mentioned in the Holy Qur’an as "the sister of Aaron"?

Scholars have differed regarding the intended meaning of their address to Maryam: (O SISTER OF HARUN). The correct view is that it is not Harun, the brother of Musa (peace be upon them both), but rather another righteous man named Harun. It was customary for them to name themselves after prophets and righteous people who preceded them. The Prophetic Hadith confirms this, and the assertion that it was Harun, the brother of Musa, is false. The mentioned Harun may have been Maryam's brother by lineage, or a well-known righteous man whom they likened her to in righteousness and piety, as the use of the term 'brother' for a similar counterpart is well-known.
