What is the ruling on saying: "Wa'l-Ni'mah (By the grace/blessing)" and "Bi-dhimmatik (By your responsibility/oath)"?
Swearing by other than Allah is forbidden and is considered minor shirk (polytheism), and among these is saying: "By the grace/blessing (of Allah)." As for the saying: "By your honor/conscience (bi dhimmatik)," if the intention behind it is to swear an oath, then it is not permissible. However, if there is no intention of swearing, then there is no harm in it, just as in the saying "by trust/honesty (bil-amanah)" if it is not intended as an oath.
