Abu Qatadah al-Ansari, for whom the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, prayed for blessing in his hair and skin. He spat on an arrow that struck him, and it healed. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, gave him the horse Mus'adah and his weapons. Abu Qatadah passed away in the year 54 AH at the age of seventy, appearing as if he were fifteen years old due to the blessing of the Prophet's prayer. His children were Abdullah, Abdur-Rahman, Thabit, Ubayd, Umm al-Banin, and Umm Aban.
