What is the interpretation of the Hadith that mentions six signs preceding the Hour, beginning with the death of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and ending with the treachery of Banu al-Asfar?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, mentioned six minor signs of the Hour in a hadith; five of them have occurred, and only the sixth remains.

The five that have occurred are: 1. The death of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. 2. The conquest of Jerusalem during the caliphate of Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him. 3. Widespread death, such as the Plague of Amwas, in which many companions and others died. 4. Abundance of wealth to the extent that a man is given a hundred dinars and remains discontent. This was realized during the time of Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz and will also become widespread with the appearance of the Mahdi and the descent of Jesus, peace be upon him, when the earth will bring forth its treasures, and no one will accept money. 5. A fitnah (tribulation) that enters every Arab household. This began with the killing of Uthman and continued thereafter.

The sixth sign, which has not yet occurred, is: A truce between Muslims and the Banu Al-Asfar (the Romans), followed by the Romans' betrayal with eighty banners (ghayah), each banner comprising twelve thousand fighters. This has not yet happened and is a glad tidings that the ultimate outcome will be for the believers, despite the large size of the enemy's army.
