How can stolen money be returned to the deceased grandfather without embarrassment, especially since the amount is unknown, and to whom should the money be distributed among the heirs (the grandmother, the maternal aunt, the deceased maternal uncle and his son, the mother)?

Repentance from theft is accomplished by returning the stolen item to its owner, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The hand is responsible for what it took until it returns it." It is not necessary to explicitly admit to the theft; rather, it suffices to return the money by any possible means. If the owner of the money has passed away, it must be returned to their heirs, and the money should be divided as follows: the wife receives one-eighth, and the remainder is for the children, both male and female, with the male receiving the share of two females.
