Is it obligatory to correct the fatwa for those who were advised that music and the duff are forbidden?

Scholars have unanimously agreed on the prohibition of listening to musical instruments and instruments of amusement, with the exception of the duff (tambourine). This consensus was reported by Al-Qurtubi and Abu Al-Tayyib (definition) Al-Tabari. The madhhab (definition) of the four Imams is that all musical instruments are forbidden. As for women playing the duff during Eids and weddings, it is permissible if the accompanying speech has a good meaning. The duff for women at weddings should be exceptionally allowed, provided its conditions are met. There is no need to explain this exception to everyone due to the difficulty, and because general rulings may be mentioned without detailing their exempted particulars.
