If the coupons are food vouchers obtained through a contract of exchange (purchase), then it is not permissible to sell them before taking possession of the food, due to the prohibition of selling food before taking possession of it. However, if the coupons were obtained without an exchange (e.g., as a gift from the company), then there is a difference of opinion among scholars regarding selling them before taking possession of the food. The preponderant view according to the Shafi'is and others is that selling them is permissible.
