Is it permissible to lie in court to finalize a "marriage of concealment" (zawaj al-sitr)? And is the husband sinful if he lies to the judge in the divorce decree to prove consummation? And is it obligatory to inform the new husband about the divorced woman's past? And is it obligatory for an adulteress to marry an adulterer, even if she has repented?

First: What the father and sons did by imprisoning their daughter, whose adultery was proven, is correct. Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah issued a fatwa (definition) allowing the imprisonment of a mother who commits indecency to prevent her, so imprisoning a daughter is even more appropriate. In addition to this, attempts should be made to reform her and encourage her to repent. If she repents sincerely, it is permissible to marry her to a chaste Muslim man, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The one who repents from sin is like one who has no sin."

Second: If a man of good reputation or known for his chastity proposes to her, it is not permissible to inform him of her past, from which she has repented, even if her virginity is lost, because virginity can be lost for many reasons other than indecency. If she marries and her husband discovers that she is not a virgin, she should use allusive speech and ambiguous statements to give the impression that the loss of her virginity was due to a permissible cause. What has been mentioned suffices, eliminating the need for a sham marriage, divorce, and lying to the judge, for marriage is a solemn covenant and should not be used for illicit purposes.

Third: It is not obligatory for an adulteress to marry an adulterer, neither before nor after repentance. The meaning of the verse in Surah (definition) An-Nur (The Fornicator does not marry except a fornicatress...) is the prohibition of a fornicator or fornicatress marrying a chaste person unless they both repent.
