What is the ruling on taking a percentage of money in exchange for assisting in establishing a project for a company?

It is not permissible to take a fee from the contractor for handing over the project to him, as this is considered bribery. Similarly, it is not permissible for individuals to take money from the contractor in exchange for handing over the project. This act is forbidden in all circumstances because it is bribery, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the one who gives bribes, the one who takes them, and the intermediary between them.
