What is the methodology of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah when a clear rational argument contradicts a probabilistic one regarding authenticity?

If a clear, definitive rational argument contradicts a probabilistic, unconfirmed piece of evidence, the definitive rational argument is prioritized, by the unanimous agreement of all intelligent people. This is because probability does not supersede certainty. The prioritization is due to its being definitive, not merely because it is rational. This contradiction often arises due to the corruption of reason or the unreliability of the transmission, for what is authentically established from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, cannot contradict sound reason.
