The price of the sold shop is subject to zakat upon the completion of a new Hijri year, if it reaches the threshold (nisab) either by itself or by adding other money, gold, silver, or trade goods to it. As for the merchandise that was sold along with the shop, zakat is due on it upon the completion of its zakat year (the year of the money with which it was purchased), and its price does not start a new year [for zakat].
