The father's rejection of him for this reason permits the matter to be referred to the ruler to marry her off or order another guardian to marry her off. This is not considered disobedience (to parents); rather, it is the right of the girl. It is advisable to try and convince the father and seek help from those who can influence him, and to make abundant supplications.
