What should the questioner do, given that her mother took a large sum of money from her husband without his knowledge, in addition to a large portion of her gold, which the mother now denies, and how should she act knowing that the value of the money has decreased and that she would thus have wronged her husband?

If you gave your mother some of your husband's money without his knowledge, this is an impermissible transgression. You must repent to Allah and return the money to your husband when you are able, because you are accountable for it, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The hand is responsible for what it takes until it returns it." This is unless your husband forgives you.

As for your mother taking your personal gold, there is no blame on you for not demanding it back, because the right is yours, and you are permitted to either demand it or relinquish it.
