What is the meaning of "Al-Mann" when attributed to Allah (SWT), and when attributed to a human being, and is it a praiseworthy quality for humans?

Al-Mannan is one of the beautiful names of Allah, and it means the Bestower, the Giver who initiates giving before being asked. As for describing a servant as al-Mannan, it is blameworthy and forbidden in Islamic law. It signifies boasting about one's giving, spoiling good deeds, and corrupting them. Islamic law has forbidden and condemned a servant's showing favor to people, stating that it nullifies good deeds and leads to the exclusion of the 'mannan' (one who boasts of favors) from entering Paradise. Allah will not speak to him on the Day of Judgment, nor will He look at him, nor will He purify him, and he will have a painful torment.
