It is permissible for a wife to lie to her husband to reconcile a dispute, but it is preferable for her to use allusory and equivocal language. If a gift is given to you and you take possession of it, it becomes your property. The general rule is to accept a gift unless there is extravagance or fear of corruption. It is also commendable to reward the giver.
