What is the ruling regarding a woman who has to make up days from several Ramadans, and she would make up some but not complete them, and this happened for several years unintentionally due to oversight?
If she delays making up for the days of Ramadan due to an excuse or forgetfulness, then she only needs to make up the missed days. However, if the delay is without a valid excuse until the next Ramadan begins, then she must make up the missed days along with feeding one poor person for each day she delayed making up. The expiation for delaying does not multiply with the number of Ramadans. If the forgetfulness was due to negligence or oversight, then it is not considered an excuse, and she must pay the expiation. But if it was not due to negligence, then she only needs to make up the missed days, based on the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "Lifted from my Ummah are mistakes, forgetfulness, and what they are coerced into."
