Does the reward of the hadith, "Whoever prays Fajr in congregation, then sits remembering Allah until the sun rises, then prays two rak'ahs, will have a reward like that of a complete, complete, complete Hajj and 'Umrah," as stated by the Messenger of Allah, apply to a girl? Does it include the forgiveness of all sins, including neglecting prayers due to laziness? Does this mean a new beginning with a clean slate? And what should a girl do if she has missed prayers for three scattered years since puberty?

Some scholars hold that the reward for sitting in the prayer area and remembering Allah until sunrise, then praying two rak'ahs, includes both men and women, while others believe it is exclusive to men. This reward does not expiate major sins, which require a specific repentance. As for neglecting prayer, its make-up is not waived by that sitting, according to those who deem make-up obligatory. If acting upon the view of the majority proves difficult, it is permissible to follow the opinion of those who do not consider making up prayers obligatory.
