What has been mentioned about the prohibition of the niqab, the widespread presence of police officers, the obligation to uncover the head at the university, and the parents' keenness for their child to obtain a degree, is considered a tribulation (fitna) in religion. The hijab is a religious obligation; it is a means of chastity and purity, and it preserves society and contributes to its stability. Adhering to the niqab under these circumstances doubles the reward. Obedience to parents is only in what is good, and there is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to the Creator. One must stand firm and avoid participating in the exam if uncovering the head is a condition, and other reasons can be given to avoid the exam. If wearing the hijab is allowed and only the niqab must be removed when entering exams, then there is no harm in removing the niqab at that time to avert corruption and to honor the parents' wishes.
