Can a virgin girl become pregnant if she sleeps in a bed with traces of semen that are an hour old, considering she is in her ovulation period, taking into account the incident of "Al-Hanafiyyah" who is said to have conceived after bathing in the same water in which our master Ali (may Allah honor his face) had bathed?

The answer stated that pregnancy without intercourse is possible, according to jurists and doctors. Ibn Qudamah mentioned that the majority of scholars do not impose the hadd punishment on a woman who becomes pregnant without a husband, and they waive the hadd from her if she claims coercion or شبهة (doubt/ شبهة of intercourse). This is the view of Abu Hanifa and Al-Shafi'i. The Malikis, however, dissented, stipulating that she must be punished with hadd unless there is strong evidence of coercion. The answer also mentioned that Al-Dasuqi believes that if a woman becomes pregnant and has no husband, she is subject to hadd unless there is evidence supporting her claim of rape or the presence of a man's fluid in her vagina without intercourse. Al-Shawbari pointed out the possibility of pregnancy merely by the insertion of semen, even if it is from a stone that a woman wiped with after a man had wiped his penis with it. In such a case, the man who deposited the semen is obligated to acknowledge paternity of the child.
