How can one overcome the problem of loving smooth-faced youths (mardan) and prevent falling into indecency?

A man's inclination towards another male (pederasty) is a grave abomination and a repulsive, forbidden indecency by the consensus of Muslims. The precursors to this indecency, such as deriving pleasure from kissing an beardless youth, touching him, and looking at him, are forbidden by the consensus of Muslims. Whoever is afflicted with this abomination and indulges in direct interaction with and observation of beardless youths will not be safe from indecency.

Whoever is afflicted with this must be mindful of Allah, fear Him, and strive to abandon this repulsive act. He must part ways with and distance himself from this person, seek Allah's help, cut off the relationship, fast frequently, and hasten to marry if he is not already married.
