What is the ruling on insulting religion to a teacher and educator of generations? What is the ruling on one who hears him, and what must he do? And what is the ruling on one who lives with him?

Cursing the religion is an act of disbelief (kufr) that expels one from the fold of Islam. The person who commits this act must be advised and called to repentance, and reminded that dying in such a state without repentance leads to eternal hellfire. If he does not respond and insists on cursing the religion, then he is an apostate. One must show aversion to his action and not sit with him when he utters such curses, as Allah Almighty says: "And He has already sent down to you in the Book that when you hear the verses of Allah disbelieved in and ridiculed, then do not sit with them until they enter into another conversation. Indeed, you would then be like them. Indeed, Allah will gather the hypocrites and disbelievers in Hell all together." Furthermore, if he does not repent, his matter must be referred to a judge.
