Is it obligatory to save monthly for Hajj when the salary is only sufficient for the family?

A Muslim must perform Hajj immediately upon acquiring the means, based on the Almighty's saying: "And [due] to Allah from the people is performance of Hajj to the House - for whoever is able to find thereto a way." He is not obligated to save money to acquire the means, for the jurisprudential principle states: "That without which an obligation is not fulfilled is not an obligation itself." Thus, Hajj becomes obligatory when the money is available, but acquiring the money is not among the obligations.
