Am I obligated to perform Hajj if I have an amount sufficient for Hajj by myself, yet I fear losing my job and needing the money as a backup, and there is another amount necessary to complete construction?

The obligation of Hajj is conditional upon financial and physical capability. Financial capability is interpreted as possessing sufficient funds for travel and return, provided these funds are in excess of essential needs, legitimate expenses, and debt repayment. Hajj is not obligatory if the money allocated for it constitutes the capital of a trade from which the مكلف (responsible individual) and his family derive their livelihood. As for money designated for marriage, Hajj is not obligatory from it if the مكلف fears hardship for himself by abstaining from marriage, and he is permitted to prioritize marriage over Hajj.
