What is the first year of the Hijra called?

There is no specific name for the first year of the Prophet's migration (Hijra), but it was a year of establishment and building for the Muslim state and society in Medina. In it, the Prophet, peace be upon him, began building the mosque, establishing brotherhood between the Muhajirun (emigrants) and the Ansar (helpers), instituting the call to prayer (adhan), and writing the Constitution of Medina which regulated relations among its inhabitants, in addition to dispatching detachments (saraya) to blockade Quraish's trade.
