What is the ruling regarding a woman who has given birth in the month of Ramadan breaking her fast?

If a pregnant woman in Ramadan experiences bleeding, she must break her fast as long as she sees postpartum bleeding (nifas), because it is like menstruation (hayd) in its rulings. She must make up the fasts she missed. If the bleeding stops in Ramadan, she must fast unless it affects her health or the health of her child. Otherwise, she should break her fast and will be obligated to make up the fasts. Expiation (feeding a poor person for each day, in addition to making up the fasts) is obligatory if she broke her fast out of fear for her child.
