The answer

Allah Almighty does not forbid anything except for a profound wisdom, not limited to material harm, but extending beyond that to educational or punitive purposes, as He forbade the Children of Israel some good things because of their wrongdoing. Divine prohibition may be for what is inherently evil, or for what its harm outweighs its benefit, or for the refinement of souls and the suppression of their desires. In Islamic law, the wisdom behind prohibitions is usually apparent and acceptable to reason, aiming to avert evils and achieve benefits in religion and in this life. Allah commands justice and benevolence, and He forbids immoralities, wrongdoing, and oppression in order to achieve benefits and repel harms, just as He does not love these forbidden things or their perpetrators.
