Will a Muslim be held accountable for letting his wife watch television series and movies, and is a woman's watching of foreign men on television considered “dayyāthah”?

A man must prevent his wife from watching unlawful things, as he is responsible for her. He must enjoin her to fulfill religious obligations and restrain her from corrupting influences, based on the Almighty's saying: "O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire," and His saying: "Men are in charge of women." His negligence in this regard makes him responsible and accountable, and it also indicates a weakness in his protective jealousy (gheerah) and his lack of concern for his family's honor (dayoothah).
