Does the textual chat involve sins for the hosting provider who offers the free chat service, and are there sins if it is used for purposes other than seeking knowledge or for acquaintance and making friends?

The Islamic ruling concerning chat depends on its content and usage. If it is a means for good and good is written therein, then it is good and correct. If it is a means for evil and evil is written therein, then it is evil and wrong. As for creating a website that includes chat, either the creator controls what is said and written and makes it permissible, which is allowed. Or, if they cannot control it, then one looks at the predominant uses of such websites. If they are for permissible matters, then creating them is allowed. If they are for forbidden matters, then it is not allowed. The غالب (prevailing情况) is that the use of chat in most countries is predominantly for forbidden matters, and therefore, creating such websites is prohibited.
