What is the wisdom behind a son who dies before his father not inheriting?

The rulings of Sharia are never devoid of wisdom, even if we do not grasp it. Grandchildren whose father dies before their grandfather sometimes inherit, and sometimes they are excluded by the presence of closer relatives, such as paternal uncles, because the nearer relative has priority over the distant one. Al-Rahabi said: "And what share or portion does the distant relative have in inheritance when a close relative is present?" The deprivation of the deceased son's children from the obligatory inheritance does not mean depriving them of a third of the grandfather's wealth, and the correct view is that he is not obligated to do so.
