What is meant by patience in His — the Most High’s — saying: "Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account"?

This is the conclusion of the tenth verse of Surat Az-Zumar, in which Allah clarifies the immense reward of the patient, and that their reward transcends measures and calculations, so none knows their recompense except Allah. Ibn Kathir mentioned, quoting Al-Awza'i and Ibn Jurayj, that their reward will not be weighed or measured but scooped generously, and that the reward for their deeds will not be calculated against them but rather increased. The verse is general and encompasses all types of patience.
