The daughter must provide for her needy father, and his right is limited to the extent of his essential needs, unless the money is related to the daughter's basic needs, such as marriage. If the father is self-sufficient, he is not entitled to maintenance, and he may not take his daughter's money except with her consent and good will. As for a father domineering over his daughter's money without need or her consent, this is forbidden and considered devouring people's wealth unjustly. The daughter's refusal to give him money is not considered disobedience, provided that the interaction is conducted with righteousness and kindness.
