In brief, do the conflicts and displacement we are experiencing fall under the "blind and dark tribulation" (al-fitnah al-dahmāʾ) that envelops Iraq and sweeps through Syria, and what is meant by "envelops" in Iraq?

The narration reported from Abu Hurairah concerning the four tribulations is very weak due to the anonymity of the narrator from Abu Hurairah, the weakness of Ishaq ibn Abi Farwah, Dirar ibn Amr, and Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Attar, and the scholarly discourse regarding Nu'aym ibn Hammad. The description of the four tribulations has also been reported through other weak channels. As for the tribulation of ad-Duhaima', a sound hadith has been reported concerning it, but we cannot definitively assert that we are in its time due to the abundance of good within the Ummah. We ask Allah to remove tribulations from the lands of the Muslims.
