What is the legal ruling for a father who disinherits his two children (a male and a widowed female) during his lifetime because one of them visited a brother with whom the father was angry, and the father registers the majority of his wealth in the names of the remaining children eight months before his death?

It is not permissible for a father to differentiate between his children in giving gifts. Whoever does so has sinned and repentance becomes obligatory upon him by completing the share of the others or by returning what was given preferentially to some, because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, called a father's preference for some of his children "injustice."

If the father dies before repenting from his injustice, there are two scenarios: 1. If the gift was given during his health: The gift is confirmed, and the heirs are called upon to achieve justice and correct the division. 2. If the gift was given during his death illness: It is not enforceable, and the inheritance is returned as Allah Almighty commanded: (To the male, the equivalent of the share of two females), because it takes the ruling of a will to an heir, which is not enforceable except with the consent of the other heirs.
