What is the ruling on delaying prayer until after returning from work or severe exhaustion, knowing that there will be no solemnity in it?

An adult, capable man must pray in congregation at the mosque. If the time for prayer arrives and he is awake, he must go to the mosque and perform the prayer in congregation. He should not pay attention to the whisperings of Satan regarding the absence of khushu' (devotional humility), but rather accustom himself to going out to the mosque to find khushu' and tranquility. As Sheikh Ibn Baz mentioned, fatigue and delaying prayer for the sake of rest or food are not legitimate excuses under Islamic law for delaying prayer beyond its time or not performing it in congregation at the mosque. Rather, this is from the deceptions of Satan and weakness of faith.
