"Obsessive doubt (waswasah) is one of the most dangerous ailments that corrupt both worldly life and the Hereafter. Its cure lies in ignoring it. Ghusl (ritual bath) is only required upon certainty of semen discharge. Therefore, if someone has a wet dream but does not see semen upon waking, ghusl is not obligatory. If a woman doubts whether the discharge is semen (maniyy) or pre-ejaculate (madhiy), she may choose and assign it the ruling of one of them. Doubt regarding a wet dream or the discharge of semen does not necessitate ghusl."
