Does a person bear the burden of circulating and spreading sins and prohibitions that he initiated or contributed to spreading, and does the sin continue after his death, knowing that he may be merely a transmitter and not an initiator?

The principle "No bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another" does not contradict the multiplication of the sin of one who calls to falsehood and turns people away from the path of Allah, because Allah Almighty says: "And they will surely carry their [own] burdens and [other] burdens along with their burdens." The additional burdens are the sin of their misguiding people, and this is from what their hands have earned, as the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever calls to misguidance will have a sin upon him similar to the sins of those who follow him, without diminishing anything from their sins."

Thus, one who calls to an evil, such as uploading a song for others to download, bears the sin of those who commit this evil because of him. The apparent contradiction is resolved by understanding that those who call to misguidance bear the burden of their own misguidance and the burden of their misguiding others.

A Muslim must protect himself from committing sins whose consequences continue and whose burden multiplies. If a person repents from a sin he publicized, he must strive to remove its effect, and if he cannot, then his sincere repentance is sufficient for him.
