Is it incumbent upon pilgrims to pray the "Greeting of the Mosque" (Tahiyat al-Masjid) when they pray in the pathways leading to the Haram?

"The paths leading to the Haram or other mosques are not considered a mosque, neither linguistically nor Islamically. Therefore, the Sunnah of Tahiyyat al-Masjid (greeting the mosque) does not apply to them. The reason for praying Tahiyyat al-Masjid is entering the mosque, and one who prays in the path has not met the condition for this prayer, and thus it is non-existent in their case."
