What is the date of the marriage of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, to Lady Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, taking into consideration the objection to the narrations mentioned in Sahih Al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim which indicate her marriage to him while she was young, and based on the fact that this contradicts established Islamic history and the dates of birth and death of Lady Asma bint Abi Bakr?

The issue of the age of Aisha's marriage, may Allah be pleased with her, has been detailed previously. She married before puberty, but she had reached the age of sexual maturity for women. Rejecting authentic hadiths, especially those found in the Sahihayn (Bukhari and Muslim), on the pretext that they contradict reason or the Qur'an, is a pitfall many fall into. The infallible texts of revelation do not contradict each other or sound reason. The rulings of Islamic law have wisdoms that may be hidden from many, and they are not restricted by time or place. What might seem strange about them, upon investigation, proves to be in accordance with sound reason. Islam has not specified a fixed age for marriage; rather, it has left it to the discretion of guardians, taking into account people's customs. As for some disbelieving in Islam due to misconceptions they imagine in the Sahihayn, such a thing can also happen with the Qur'an. Our role is to clarify Islamic rulings and enlighten people about them, and denying them is clear misguidance. Islamic rulings, which may be a trial for some people, are guidance and insights for others. This is the case with the Qur'an, as Allah Almighty says: "And We send down from the Qur'an that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe, but it does not increase the wrongdoers except in loss." (Al-Isra: 82). As for the contradiction in historical narratives, that is a human matter. However, the people of Islam were distinguished by the sciences of isnad (chains of narration), authenticating and criticizing narrations, which are robust scientific controls without parallel.
