What is the religious ruling on a woman going to a shaykh for an Ruqyah Shar'iyyah (Islamic exorcism/healing) because she lost gold and money, feels someone is with her, hears voices, has blue marks appearing on her body, is affected by the Qur'an during Ruqyah, and the shaykh pricked her three times with a pin and told her that her lost possessions would return?

There is no objection to seeking ruqyah from others, provided it adheres to its legitimate conditions. What was mentioned about the Shaykh regarding reciting the Qur'an, recommending prayer, reciting Surah Al-Baqarah, and performing ablution are indicators of his adherence to the Sharia. His informing of the possibility of the return of lost items is permissible as long as he does not claim the ability to retrieve them. As for the use of a pin, it is not customary in legitimate ruqyah. One may inquire about the Shaykh; if his charlatanism is not proven, then there is no harm in seeking ruqyah from him.
