What is the ruling of Islamic law on practicing masturbation, and what is your guidance to help me get rid of it?
Masturbation is an act deemed reprehensible both religiously and naturally. Scholars have explicitly stated its prohibition due to the harm it causes to one's religion and body, including its disruption of marital relations, its impact on thinking and mental clarity, and its waste of time.
To overcome it, the following is advised: 1. Hasten to marry for those who are able. 2. Fast frequently for those who are unable to marry. 3. Seek beneficial knowledge and righteous deeds. 4. Choose righteous company. 5. Remember Allah's punishment and feel His constant watchfulness. 6. Renew repentance by abandoning the sin, regretting it, and resolving not to return to it.
