The answer

"The love of Allah and His Messenger is the essence of religion. Whoever proclaims his love for them seeking people's praise is a show-off (musammi') and a hypocrite (mura'i), and Allah will expose him to disgrace on the Day of Judgment. However, whoever proclaims this with the aim of encouraging people to embrace this love is not a show-off and will be rewarded for his intention. Boasting about greatness and showing off are considered blameworthy forms of show-off (tasmim madhmum). A believer does not perform good deeds for pride, but rather asks Allah for acceptance."
