Is it permissible for the questioner's husband, who works as a teacher in Algeria and receives a monthly salary, to combine this salary with unemployment benefits he receives from France, for which he had previously sought divine guidance and believed them to be permissible? Or must he forgo these benefits and rely solely on his teaching salary, especially since the teaching salary is low and insufficient to cover basic needs and future expenses for children?

The permissibility or impermissibility of receiving the grant depends on the condition set by the granting entity. If its condition is absolute unemployment, then it is not permissible for someone who works for a small wage to take it. However, if its definition of unemployment includes those whose income is below a certain limit, then there is no harm for someone whose income is less than this limit to take it. The condition of the granting entity must be observed, in accordance with the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Muslims are bound by their conditions."
