It is better for a Muslim to be honorable through his faith, self-sufficient through his wealth, and above coveting what is in the hands of others. Therefore, the encouraged seeking provision and praised those who work with their own hands. Allah Almighty says: (It is He who made the earth subservient to you, so walk among its regions and eat from His provision. And to Him is the resurrection). The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: (No one has ever eaten food better than that which he eats from the work of his own hand), and (For one of you to gather a bundle of firewood on his back is better than to ask anyone). If he cannot find work, it is permissible for him to take assistance if the conditions apply to him, bearing in mind that residing in lands of disbelief is not permissible except under certain conditions.
