What is the interpretation of Allah Almighty’s saying: "Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High," and is the loftiness here real or metaphorical?

The attribute of al-Uluw (transcendence, highness) is affirmed for Allah over all His creation, with all its real meanings that befit Him, the Glorified. Among these are the highness of subjugation (qahr), status (sha’n), and being above (fawqiyyah). The aforementioned verse is among the proofs for the affirmation of this highness. Restricting it to some meanings or claiming that affirming being above necessitates corporealism is not from the methodology of the Salaf. Al-Qasimi said that the meaning of "al-Ala" (the Most High) is that He is above everything, and the Salaf used its apparent meaning as evidence to affirm al-Uluw without specifying its modality (bi la takyeef).
