Committing adultery and killing a soul unjustly are grave sins, and sincere repentance and deep remorse are obligatory.
If you directly performed the abortion, you are liable for the blood money (five camels or their equivalent value) and expiation (fasting for two consecutive months). Some scholars are of the opinion that expiation is obligatory.
However, if you did not directly perform the abortion but authorized it, consented to it, or assisted in it, then nothing is incumbent upon you except sincere repentance. The blood money and expiation are binding upon whoever directly performed the abortion.
