The Companion who was killed while his cheek was on the foot of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, is Ziyad ibn al-Sakan. It is also said his name was 'Umarah ibn Ziyad ibn al-Sakan. Ziyad, or 'Umarah, fought along with five Ansar defending the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in Uhud until he was wounded. The Prophet then ordered that he be brought closer to him, and then he made the Prophet's foot his pillow until he died, with his face on the Prophet's noble foot.
