Is it permissible to perform Istikhara regarding the issue of a committed young man who proposed to a female gynecologist, given that he objects to her work while she insists on working in her field? And is a woman's work in the field of gynecology and obstetrics considered a violation of religious principles?

We advise you to take the initiative to marry someone whose religiosity and character you are pleased with, based on the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "If someone whose religiosity and character you are pleased with proposes to you, then marry him. If you do not do so, there will be tribulation on earth and widespread corruption." Rejecting suitors may lead to men shying away from the woman. Love for work is not a sufficient reason for rejection. The default for a woman is her home, attending to her husband's affairs, and raising her children. Her going out to work requires legitimate Islamic guidelines, and these guidelines are often absent in non-Islamic countries. Do not abandon performing Istikhara (prayer for guidance) in any matter, and sever your relationship with the man, as he is a stranger to you until marriage takes place.
