Is a man considered unjust and sinful if he divorces his wife due to his personal مزاج (disposition/mood) and not because of any wrongdoing on her part?

Divorce without need is disliked and detested by Allah, and a person loses out on their interests through it, and may regret it, especially if the wife is righteous. Scholars have differed on its ruling, between prohibition and permissibility, due to the harm it entails and the waste of money without need, or because it is the most detested of permissible acts to Allah.
