Was it wrong to supplicate by saying: "O Allah, grant me strength from Your strength, forbearance from Your forbearance, and pardon from Your pardon"?

This supplication is correct in meaning because strength, forbearance, and forgiveness within it are created and bestowed by God, not from His intrinsic attributes. This is evidenced by what was narrated from Abu Darda', raised (to the Prophet): "Indeed, Allah Almighty says: 'O Jesus, I am sending forth after you a nation who, if they are afflicted with what they love, they praise Allah and give thanks. And if they are afflicted with what they dislike, they seek reward from Allah and are patient, and they have no forbearance nor knowledge.' He (Jesus) said: 'My Lord, how can this be for them, when they have no forbearance nor knowledge?' He (Allah) said: 'I will give them of My forbearance and My knowledge.'" Despite the correctness of this supplication, adhering to the supplications transmitted from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, is more preferable and better.
