Are the supplications mentioned for relieving distress authentically established?

These two supplications, in this context, are not authentically reported from the Prophet, peace be upon him, even though some phrases from the first supplication have been authentically reported from him, peace be upon him. As for the supplication: "O Allah, to You I complain of my weakness..." it has been narrated that the Prophet, peace be upon him, made this supplication after his journey to Ta'if, but Al-Albani deemed its chain of transmission weak.

It must be noted that the phrase: "for I have been greatly distressed by what has befallen me, O Lord" contradicts perfect etiquette with Allah, as it expresses impatience. Despite the permissibility of supplicating with any phrase that has a sound meaning, adhering to what is authentically reported is superior and takes precedence. Therefore, a Muslim should seek out and suffice with the supplications from the Quran and Sunnah.
